Community-Sourced Content
Let’s face it, bars and restaurants typically do a terrible job of posting and updating their specials, whether it’s on their own websites or on third-party sites like Facebook. That’s why SocialHour leverages its community to add, update, and confirm information about these establishments. And, users will get to see when information was last updated or confirmed to gauge its reliability.
Information about establishments and their specials are added and updated by SocialHour users who have achieved privileged permission levels to make changes. All users will be able to flag specials that are inaccurate, which will put the higher-level users on notice that there is something wrong. With a community of users keeping tabs on and updating establishment details and specials, we can strive towards achieving a comprehensive, ever-evolving database of up-to-date information on happy hour deals and recurring daily specials.
