Privacy Policy
Last Modified: August 15, 2019
The SocialHour mobile application (“App”) and the website www.socialhour.fun (“Website”), collectively referred to as our “Services”, are owned and operated by SocialHour LLC (“SocialHour” or “Company” or “we” or “us” or “our”), a Wisconsin Limited Liability Company. This Privacy Policy applies to our collection and handling of information about you that we receive as a result of your use of our Services. This Policy also applies to information that we receive from our partners or other third parties (for instance, we use Google Firebase to authenticate our users, get usage analytics, and store all the information we need to run our App).
HOW WE COLLECT INFORMATION ON YOU
Creating an Account
To access information in the App, you will be required to create an account, which allows us to authenticate you. To create an account, you only need to provide an email address and a password. Your password is securely stored by Google Firebase Authentication and is not stored in our databases. Alternatively, you can create an account and sign on using third-party sign-on solutions (such as Google and Facebook). These third-party providers may receive information from our App when you elect to use them, and they share certain information with us, such as your email address, your phone number, your display name with the provider, your photo URL for the provider, and the user identifier linked to your provider.
Public Display Name
Once you have signed up, you can create a unique public display name from within the app, which can be a pseudonym (choose your public display name carefully, because at least initially, you may not be able to change it again).
Error Log Data
When there is an error in the App, we collect data and information (through third party products) on your phone called Error Log Data. This Error Log Data may include information such as your device’s IP address, device name, operating system version, configuration of the App, the time and date of your use of the App, and other statistics.
Third-Party Services
We use a lot of Google services in our App, including Google Analytics for Firebase, Google AdSense, Google AdMob, and Google Firebase Crashlytics. Through these services, certain information will be collected automatically, such as your IP address, location, device information, etc. You can see what information Google collects from you when you use our App and how you can control the information collected by Google by visiting this website: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Cookies and Similar Technologies
We do not use our own cookies or similar technologies; however, we do use third-party code and libraries that use identifiers for mobile devices (including Android Advertising ID and Advertising Identifier for iOS), cookies, and similar technologies to collect information on your usage to operate and improve both our Services and the services of the third parties. These technologies are used to better understand how you interact with our services, to monitor aggregate usage patterns, and to personalize the content that is shown to you (including ads).
Location Information
If you consent, we may use GPS and other technologies used to determine location to show you more relevant content. Third-party products and services (such as Google Analytics for Firebase), may obtain your IP address, which could be used. We keep information obtained by these technologies confidential, except as provided in this Privacy Policy.
Advertisers and Other Ad Partners
Advertising revenue allows us to keep the doors open and improve our services. The information described in this Privacy Policy is used by our ad partners and ourselves to help make our advertising more relevant to you.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
In addition to some of the specific uses of information we describe in this Privacy Policy, we may use information that we receive to:
- Provide, personalize, and improve your experience with the Services and products, services, and advertising (including third-party products and services) made available on or outside the Services (including on other sites that you visit), for example by providing customized, personalized, or localized content, recommendations, features, and advertising on or outside of the Services;

We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information
We do not sell your personal information.
PUBLIC INFORMATION
If you add, edit, or confirm information about Establishments, your public display name will be linked to that change or confirmation and it will be visible for other users to see who made the change. The date on which the action occurred will also be publicly visible.
The content of any comments you make on the App will be visible, along with your public display name and the date of the comment, to the other users.
SECURITY
We take protecting your information and our information seriously, which is why we use various Google services, from authentication, to backend functions (Cloud Functions), to data storage and retrieval. We trust Google’s ability to keep up to date with best practices in helping us protect your data and our data from security threats.
DELETING YOUR USER ACCOUNT
If you delete your account, information about adding, editing, confirming, or deleting details about Establishments may not be deleted from our databases, as it may be saved for historical reference. This historical data will show the display name of the user who made the change, when it was made, and the user’s unique ID for the App.
Comments that you post may not automatically be deleted upon deleting your account, but we will do our best to remove your public display name from being visible to the public. If there is personal information in a comment of yours and you would like it removed, please send an email to privacy@socialhour.fun.
It may take up to 180 days before completely removing from our databases your personally identifying information that ties you to an account, such as your email address or third-party ID. This information may be preserved for longer periods of time if we have reason to believe the user engaged in malicious or illegal activity, to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process, or government request, to enforce our Terms of Service, to investigate potential violations of our Terms of Service, to detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues, to respond to user support requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of SocialHour, its users, and the public.
If you delete your account and we have no reason to believe any of the concerns of the preceding paragraph above apply, or upon no longer having reason to believe any of the concerns of the preceding paragraph above apply, and except as noted in this Privacy Policy, we will remove your personally identifying information from our databases that links you to an account.

Our Services are not directed to children, and you may not use our Services if you are under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 or under the applicable age limit (the “Age Limit”). If you are under the Age Limit, do not use the Services and do not provide any personal information to us. If you are a parent of a child under the Age Limit and become aware that your child has provided personal information to SocialHour, please contact us at privacy@socialhour.fun and you may request exercise of your applicable access, rectification, cancellation, and/or objection rights.
